PATTERN SHOP Kulp Foundry's inhouse pattern shop is primarily responsible for the rigging and gating of new patterns coming into Kulp. This department also handles day to day repair and maintenance normally needed on production pattern equipment, as well as storage and retrieval of patterns. We are also capable of constructing simple wood, epoxy, and one time use styrofoam patterns and coreboxes, as well as duplicating existing patterns and coreboxes. Kulp works closely with several outside pattern shops to provide our customers with new and replacement equipment set up to meet our production requirements. As part of our pattern shop services, we also provide pattern layouts if a customer is using their own pattern shop so that the pattern can be set up to your equipment. A four member gating and risering committee works with an AFS computerized program and modulus calculations for number, size, and location of risers to provide the best set up for a customer's pattern equipment.
